I'm a senior in high school but i'm going to do ROTC in college so i'll be an officer in the Army when I graduate. Do girls like to date guys who are planning on going into the military?

I married and Army officer, my son (is military) is married and my daughter married one so I'd say of course girls like guys who join the military. And we're in a GI town now and it's full of girls dating and married to military guys. GOOD LUCK

I think women like men who have principle and character. I am not a girl, I am a woman, but I believe that women like a man that is doing what he loves and what he believes in. If you are joining the military for the right reasons, I think it is honourable, and it is that honour that would attract a woman, perhaps. If you are joining the military for the wrong reasons, or you are just a trigger happy crazy (which I am certain isn't the case) women are unlikely to find you very attractive.

I was attracted to a man who was in the military once. We had opposing views on just about everything, but I could see that he was sincere and that he believed in good and honour and strived to be the best person he could be. I was impressed by his passion and felt it was much like mine despite our differing opinions on big issues. It wouldn't have worked out between us, but I think if you are a person such as him and you do meet someone who shares your views, women will be attracted and willing to be with someone in the military.

I don't think, however, that should even be a concern of yours. You don't join the military because you like guns and you don't join the military because you want to attract women; you join the military because you truly believe you can make a difference in the world by being in the military and that is a bigger priority to you than your own life and even the critics you are going to face. If you join for the wrong reasons, you are very young and you will most definitely not even be around to enjoy your life.

As an officer in the Army, I find that most girls I meet disprove of my military service. However, I am also a divorcee, so that might be the real hangup. By the time girls approach 30, they really want someone more stable.

My father is a 25 year veteran former Colonel. My mother and he made the decision jointly to join the military when his business failed. They got along well.

So, speaking as an older officer, I find that most women, although they respect my choice and me for being willing to serve, prefer something less dangerous.

To you sir, I salute. I look forward to serving with you in a few years.

You should join the military only if you want to not to impress girls. Some girls like military guys but others are afraid their guy will get sent over seas and not return.

At first, guys in the military seem hot. Yet, when they are sent away, the gal gets lonely. Well, most do. I personally think guys going into the military are sooo hott, but like they say, looks fade. I'm pretty sure girls do like to date military officers because they're so disciplined, muscular, chivalrous, nimble, and pretty faithful. There are other qualities, but i don't think I have room to list them. You sound hot anyway.

Well, I wouldn't want to date a guy thats going to the military because he wouldn't have time to see or talk to me as often as a couple should, but if you want to go to the military go ahead, I mean, there r lots of girls in the military as well.

Yes. It lets us know you have a plan for your life and you know what you want to do. I also think guys in the military are sexy as hell.
