civic si is really hot... especially in the SI blue color... but i do love hatchbacks and i think the SI is the best

Like the Hondas, too and I understand the Eclipse and Cobalt are pretty good . . . but I'd take the VW. Something about the Euro cars that I just like the feel of better than the others. Currently drive a Jetta TDI . . . and love it.

The GTI...without question. I prefer American, but the Cobalt is not very attractive, and VW has a much storied history of quality. However, at 6'3'' ans 235lbs, I don't quite fit in any of them.

Nothing domestic, Honda Civic likely give most bang for the buck.

06 eclipse is the best providing you with the sport feeling and look for a good price.
