Eaton---if you aren't smart enough to relate open borders with a lower standard of living...just don't say anything.

This was a question. I did not state what my opinion was.

Our inflated standard of living and wages are why greedy American companies are moving to China and taking jobs with them. When illegal immigration plummets wages so low the US standard of living bottoms out, we may be able to economically complete with China. Until then, I say you should learn to use chopsticks and read Mandarin. They're progressing, and we're declining, much, much faster than you think.

Maybe you should not have used a communist country as your example in the question. Oh well. No, I don't believe we should have no borders. I do believe we should close our borders and deport all the illegals here now and prosecute the employers who hire them, and a whole lot of other things to combat illegal immigration because certainly they are bringing down the general overall standard of living in the USA.

The concept of borders is esentially made up. The entire concept of nation states goes back only a few centuries and is a Western concept. Most of the borders that have been drawn have been accidents or people just putting lines in. They dont have any meeting. We have created the meaning.

The problem really is that our government look too far away. We forgot that accross our own backyard, we have a neighbor that needs tender loving care.
We don't care about our neighbors. We don't even want to know who they are, what they do in life. We don't give a damn.
We wait until situations go wrong. We are reactive not pro-active.

If only the government entice big businesses to pour billions of excess dollars into that poor neighbor will we forget about illigals.

I do not agree with not having perimeter. What we need is to close every entry and just let us open one, a big one. The hell with México. In México the News Papers, the TV station they all talk very bad about America, even the people does that. So I say again <

The problem i have with no borders is it seems to be based on money only. So i must inquire, whatever happened to the human element? As far as your second question goes, no we shouldn't.

Yes it's a great fact and idea, in fact you should go mention that to George Bush right now because I'm sure he'd love it and then put you in charge of one of his posts! Oh wait, that's right we are already earning wages and having a standard of living as China right now due to a lack of jobs and money. We developed countries think nothing is going to happen to us well we will become third-world countries and we are well on our way there! So, grow up and ask better questions!
