I am hoping to open an online store that sells clothes at value prices for both work and play, targeting ladies in their 20’s - 30’s.

I want the store to convey the following:
Unique
Trendy
Ideal
Value
Confidence
Exquisite

Of cos all of the above are already taken (can check here http://www.search.asic.gov.au/gns070.html ) so I was hoping for a name that plays with words, something like “you-nique” or “I-deal”….(both taken since the “-“ makes no diff, so “I-Deal” = Ideal.…*sigh*)

I am totally out of ideas...I’m hoping not to involve the pros cos they’d charge me heaps of $$~ would someone be willing to help and give me some suggestions?

Most people I deal with develop a name after writing a good business plan. Be careful with plays on words, cheapens the brand.

When we're working with a client who needs help choosing a name for their new company, we try to think of words and concepts associated with the client's industry and brainstorm to get the ideas flowing. Also, if your intention it to focus on a local or regional market, you can also include ideas that center around something unique about your area's culture. For example, a company in Louisiana may want to focus on the area's French or Cajun culture and use that as a starting point to generate ideas for a company name.

Also, as strange as it sounds, sometimes the dictionary can be a great resource for coming up with a new company name. For example, the higher up in the alphabet, the better off you are when it comes to being listed in a directory, web site, book, or any other resource that is organized alphabetically. So, starting with the As and looking at words that might strike a chord with your target audience is a great way to get ideas flowing.

Sometimes, the best names are a combination of two words joined cleverly to create a new word (ie: Microsoft) that's unique to your company. This also makes it easier to trademark a name should you decide to do so as the trademark office is particular about letting people register a trademark of common words.

Good luck!

I'm not sure, look up those words in the thesaurus and try to relate them. When I am working out ideas I think and think and think until I can't, then everytime I get an idea I jot it down, and eventually, I guess my mind is working without me being aware, a better idea pops into my head. Research, look at your clothing line for inspiration, also artwork, research women in that age group... best of luck.
