I think that that's about discipline and self-control...in order to bring yourself to work and do things later in life you must have followed directions as a child. Otherwise you'd probably end up with a very low-attention span and not enough respect for people teaching you, etc.

it is only when u listen to ur elders n obey them u will be able to open ur mind's door to the light of knowledge. if u understand them u 'll learn the imp. lessons of life which make u knowledgable.
