I met a guy at a doctor's appointment (he is the doctor). He is about my age, and I really am attracted to him. I don't know anything about him. How do I meet him outside the office, find out if he's taken, and let him know I'd like to get to know him. He's very friendly, not at all taken with himself. We are not kids, I am 58.

First of all, if he is a ethical doctor, he will not get involved with a patient. You may want to find a new doctor if you are going to pursue him. Most doctors, if they have wives have pictures of them in their office. Did you see a wedding ring? Maybe a nurse will fill you in on him, if you think that you can trust one of them. I would say, use stuff in his office just to start small talk. Where he went to school, use any pictures, books that are not medically related. Use anything to get off the subject of your health to get to know him and find out where you can see him outside of work. If he is in the phonebook, you could try going to the grocery store in his area. If he works at a hospital, he may be working some events that you could attend. He may teach as well. I hope that helps. Dont stalk him though.
