I mean, I'm genuinely interested because I'm very religious, and we all know the hooblah that religion has with homosexuality, but I have some good friends who happen to be gay. So I'm thinking, how tough is it to both believe in God and be gay? And if you do believe in God (and believe that God has forbidden homosexuality) and are gay, do you try to avoid homosexual behaviour (because that must be very tough, so if you do, I say God Bless you in advance)?

Yes we all know that homosexuality is wrong but once again the media projects it to be the 'in' thing right now and it is drummed into even the youngest persons life that it is cool, even acceptable. Have you heard of a very young boy suddenly thinking he must be gay? Well, he has not lived, nor experienced life yet and suddenly he feels gay??? Come on. It is a lifestyle choice, not physical. It can be overcome. Someone once asked, if we accept CHRIST and then sin against HIM for instance lie etc., will CHRIST abandon us, will HE hate us??? GOD hates sin but loves us and wants to separate us from sin. It is our choice to choose to commit adultery, pre-marital sex, multiple partners, free sex whatever you call it is all sin. I try not to judge but leave it to GOD to be just. I can only lend a hand or ear should anyone choose to be removed from this sin. I too sin but not in the sexual way, we all do. Lets take the log out of our own eye before we try to take the speck out of anothers. I say if you truly and absolutely believe in GOD, CHRIST then go forth and sin no more, seek help.

I know a guy who came from a strong catholic family. But the guy was so clearly gay he was like a walking gaydar test. If aliens landed from another planet and met the guy they would be like - yeah, he's gay.

Anyway, this poor guy had a terrible time of it. He would try to have girlfriends etc. He was into his 30s before he as able to face who he was. And sadly, he was one of the last to know. The only other peope who didn't know were his family. When he came out to them, their reaction was to buy him a bunch of books on how to not be gay (as though he hadn't been trying that for over a decade).

God's word on this type of life-style is described as perversion. For both women & man. God never made a inperfect human. Once you find yourself in this situation, then you know it is not of God, but of Satan. God created Adam & Eve, not Adam & Bruce. We are not to pass judgment on those who pratice this life-style, but With Repentances God will forgive & surround yourself with Christinas & ask for prayer.
Continue to pray for strength & wisdom. This evilness can only be brought to your knees, through the Power of The Holy Spirit. Satan will encourage you to continue on with this life-sytle, sure he will, he won'ts your soul in Hell. I have seem people change this life-style. They became involved in Chruch, the Pastor's & the congreation ( we just knew there were problems, did/ not say what) we continued to pray without ceasing. Now he is a deacon in our Church & about to be married. (to a woman) I will pray for you!

According to the Bible, there is a way out.
Paul says "such WERE some of you" (I Corinthians 6:11 - see what precedes)
I don't say it is easy - but it's the Kingdom of God we are talking about here - not a free trip to Disneyland.

i grew to become into raised Catholic - I stop going to church in severe college, and have quite never claimed any faith on the grounds that. i like the Buddhist teachings, yet below no circumstances could I call myself a "Buddhist." i'm nonetheless attempting to come to a decision a lot different stuff in my existence good now, i'm no longer even questioning approximately what faith i'm!

God hasn't forbidden homosexuality...but many Christian denominations- although far less now than have been in the past- condone premarital sex of any kind, whether it be homo or hetero.

IF the Christian God is the real one, He thinks we are all sinners...What's it like being a religious person who lusts? or is envious? or lies? or steals? or disrespects his parents?
