Some times it's gratitude for the moment. Some times it's gratitude for the year or a friend or spouse. You don't even have to pray for it, it's just thankfullness.

A week?" Listen, after God had blessed me with a very lovely house I was so thankful that all I did was prayed thanking him. I would be driving down the road weeks after closing just thanking God for everything I saw. In fact, I was so busy at this I almost missed my first months payment. Lol. But you have to remember, I came from being homeless, so I was out there!

lol when I first read your question I thought you were asking if I'd ever prayed for an entire week ... LOL.
I don't ask for that much anymore ... sometimes patience during trying times, sometimes I ask for more wisdom to help my own stupid self, but that's about it. God always meets my needs nowadays before I ever ask lol. I can spend an entire day begging for something, only to find out He had planned on giving it to me all along lol

Of course, praying is a wonderful way to speak to my Father in Heaven. I love praying, worshipping, praising and acknowledging my FATHER in everything. The way the sun rises each morning, etc. I am overjoyed with the wonderfulness of everything. Pray you do too. Blessings to you.

I thank God on a regular basis. You can't take anything for granted. I am more spiritual than religous and as humans we are very disconnected. We don't realize that you don't need to search for God because God is within. GIve gratitude and trust in him and in yourself. Know thyself and know that you are a part of him.

Let me try and put this into perspective, without being rude. You would spend a great deal of your life thanking god for your life that you've spent thanking him, just appreciate life as you go, thats enough.
