my 2cents..
i'd rather tease them in a light-hearted way. it's fun and enjoyable and if she's interested, it'll be much more comfortable to approach and bust each other's ball later on. :)
don't give presents early on.. it'll just be too awkward even if she's interested in you.
have fun and don't be too serious. ;)

Guys flirt by tickling, touching and rubbing on the arms and looking at a gil in a sertian way. Also guys flirt with girls by picking on a girl o teasing them. Honestly it is kind of difficult to tell when a guy is flirting with a girl or vis vesa becouse it could just be that the two go way back and ae just good friends and people can take all that in a wrong way and say oh look thay are flirting becouse they are talking. Fliting really is and inward thing i think that happens in the mind and heart. Its not the action its the intent behind the action.

My guy used to sneak peeks at me during class. Or he'd walk by my desk to throw something in the trash can for no reason. Or he got my screenname so we could "talk science" about a class we shared!

You like someone? If you want to show someone that you like them or are interested in them, you might want to just talk to them and show them that you are interested in their lives. A lot of girls like guys who are funny as well. But I would say just be yourself and just go with the flow.
