See a show on Broadway, opera if you like at the Met. Central Park, rent a bike and see it all. Statue of Liberty tour is nice, China town is a blast, especially if you like knock off Gucci purses and the like, plus the Chinese food. Try to get a decent hotel, check out tripadvisor.com to find deals and good hotels. 5th Ave shops, the Met art museum on 5th, the MOMA modern art, free after 5 or so on Friday nights. Wander and have a blast. It's safe as can be, also.
