i doubt it, we will one Day figure it out and have a cure or treatment for everything even if we cant stop it from actually getting somewhere we'll be a least there to know what it's doing and try treating it.

There could be another plague/black death right around the corner that could just wipe out like 1/3 of the population. There really is nothing to stop it, except for our sanitation habits.
Less contact with rats and their fleas, but a hanta virus can be caught from contact with mouse droppings and has infected people who swore they had no contact with mouse poo.
Another thought..modern societies will fare better than developing nations. Look what AIDS has done to Africa. The dead there has to be in the millions by now, and even if they had all the meds they needed there are still no roads to get the meds to them

at the rate of current health of the world,i would say it,s an absolute.virus,germs and fungi are at the top of the worlds food chain,they always have been from day 1.bacteria is one thing but virus and fungi,we have only minimal defense.our own immune system is our best defense if given the right/proper nutrition,mental attitude and very very limited man made drugs,if any(last resort not first...
