he filed last year and got it all back was it because he was and is under age

It doesn't have anything to do with his age. It depends on how much he made. I'm assuming you claim him as a dependent. If he made under $5150, he should get everything back from federal income tax withholding.

No, child movie stars get soaked like everybody else. He got it back because he was below the minimum income subject to income tax.

I dont think age is the factor here...I believe it goes by how much he makes. Unless hes a boy genious, probably so.
