Okay so I started liking this guy that goes to my school and we began to talk online and eventually I found out he likes me too, sounds perfect right? Well it's not because at first he was texting me a lot and being really sweet to me but when I'm around him in person I clam up and don't act like my fun loving self. I feel so much regret thinking back to things I've said to him and doing so really makes me want to bang my head against a wall. Just today he hasn't called nor texted and I'm feeling really low as though he doesn't like me anymore or something. Is this a normal feeling to have? Is this just a part of dating and liking someone? Please I need some reassurance that there's still hope for me here. Seeing as how this is pretty much the first relationship I've ever had I have very little experience in dating, not that I don't have guy friends but I'm so used to saying anything around them that I don't know where to draw the line when you're trying to get some one to like you.

If he told you he likes you too, it's obviously because of who you are. Don't worry about trying to act a certain way to keep him interested, just be the person you've always been. If you just feel shy around him in person, tell him that. Most people understand how that feels, so I'm sure he will too. Good luck!

Well, it doesn't look like you need to make him like you: it sounds like he does already.

As far as getting over the clamming? If you're more confident online, let him know one day that you seem to clam up when face to face, and you'd like to change it. The only way it'll stop is if you put yourself in the position of talking to him face to face a lot.

It appears that you've said something offensive, so maybe you should start by apologizing for what you said. Tell him what you told us: you have guy friends and you're used to just saying anything around them. Let him know you'll try to watch your mouth, and hold true to that.

There's definatly still hope. Just make a small move and let him know you care and want things to work out!

Don't stress...

Just forget about the guy, if he stopped talking to you then just move on, no use crying over spilled milk.

If you want some real advice, then: Learn from your mistakes and move on.
You will know now to actually be yourself ONLINE and IN PERSON, be true to yourself so that others can like the TRUE YOU.

Dating is a hard game - it is like playing baseball - but without a bat and the ball is coming right at your face! Girl, you messed up on this one. He may or may not contact you again. If he doesn't, well don't despair, there will be another guy...believe me, they will be lined up outside your door like tomcats in the not to distant future.

If he already told you he likes you I wouldn't worry about that too much, but by you being shy in person, he may have the idea that your ashamed that you like him. I'm not sure of course, but it sounds like you need to show him that you really are interested because he may be losing interest himself.

Just try to loosen up. Force yourself to not get clammy. Sometimes you just need to persuade yourself to do something. And I know exactly how you feel... Like I want to just slap myself or something.

If you really like this guy, then explain to him how you feel and hopefully he'll understand, if he doesn't, then he's porbly not the guy for you.

sit him down and tell him. tell him what your feeling and your confusion and ask him what he wants from you. after that try to find where you agree.
