Are you ok with this mixed relationship? Many of my Catholic friends are not. Serious insight only please.

As long as you respect his Wiccan beliefs and he respects your Catholic beliefs there shouldn't be a problem. It's not considered wrong in Wicca to date outside of the faith.

Blessed Be.

For me, the only real problem would be if you get very serious and have children one day. You will have to make decisions on how you're going to raise them. It's difficult, but not impossible. Many Wiccans and Pagans are married to people of other beliefs. I am in a same-sex marriage with an atheist woman, and I'm Pagan.

In a religious sense, Wiccans will accept the relationship and Catholics will not.

Your religion, as you may know, is of the "Our God is the one true God and you must follow this creed for success" school. Not that I think that's a terrible thing, but that's what it is.

Wicca, though very open to one's own interpretation of faith, has the general philosophy that as long as you're not hurting anyone, go for it.

As a Wiccan, yes, I'm just fine with your relationship.

Good luck :)

Depends. Are you ok with it? Open minded, etc. You don't have to beleive in the same things that he does. And Catholicism teaches forgiveness correct? Then follow the teachings of Jesus, he loved all things unconditionally. And if we are all in God's image then that means that we too should love all things unconditionally.

I'm pretty sure that things will work themselves out. As long as it is OK with you an you are happy, and you can go into it, not caring what others think, then you should be able to suck it up and be with him because he makes you happy. Come on, I don't think my friends dump their boyfriends just because their friends didn't like them. People dump people because it doesn't feel right in your heart.

Then they might not be real friends.

Who makes a judgement call on someone, simply based on Religion?

To judge a person as either "good" or "bad" based upon nothing more than their religious preference alone has a label, too. It is called bigotry.

I find that Catholics of most types are FAR more open minded than non-liturgical Christians....and, honestly, if you begin to explore what your boyfriend *does*, you'll find that it isn't scary or even all that alien.

But there is NO obligation on your part to do so - he absolutely ought not to be trying to get you to convert or even ask questions. We don't evangelize. We don't recruit.

IF you are curious, ask questions of him.

There aren't any prohibitions on Pagans/Witches dating whomever they want to.

Do you care about each other?

Do you, each, support the other in attaining their goals?

Can you each respect the ways in which you are different, without trying to change each other?

A Catholic girl dumped me because she could not convert me, muhahaha.

I'm a Buddhist, not Wiccan though.

I'm ok with it, as long as the two of you are.
I have some friends in the same sort of situation as you, I think it's great when two people who love each other decide to be together.

Your religion is a personal thing unless you choose to share it with someone who is willing to accept it, then it is a personal thing between the two of you.

I doubt you'll find many Wiccans who would have a problem with it- to each their own Path.

As long as you are both happy in your relationship and it's respectful in spite of its differences, enjoy!

If it's a huge conversion-fest on one side or another, that's a different story...

Are we ok with your relationship? Other than posing this question directly to us, it never would have occured to a pagan (like myself) to judge your relationship. Do you and your boyfriend discuss each others beliefs? You would have known that if you had.

Are you ok with the being in a relationship that is being judged by your friends? By posing this question to us, you assure us all (and your boyfriend) that you are not.

And ye harm none, do what ye will.
