There is a product called Natures Miracle and it really works. It is enzymatic so it continues to "eat" the smell after you clean it up. Problem is in your case the padding is soaked and also the floor (even particle board or cement) absorb the odor so they may need to be cleaned and sealed. After all this, you might want to keep the puppy in a cage when not home.

New carpet. It soaks into the padding. If you want to just work on the top part of the carpet...try the woolite oxy clean. You spray and it raises it to the surface..you just dab it off the top of the carpet. I use that but you still have the smell. Its just in the padding

They make dog litter pans now. I have a tea cup chihuahua and she is trained in a litter pan

Ugh, just a get a new carpet. The task is pretty impossible. Sure you can shampoo and sanitize but the urine will still be there...peee-yooo

I would wash my carpet with vinegar and baking soda solution, and do at least two water changes, they wash regularly. that should remove the smell.

the smell = bicorbonate of soda, shake over the smell and leave for 15 to however long you like and vaccume up, i did this on my kitten smell that he plesenelty left and it went

call a carpet cleaner.

try spraying white vinegar on it .. the vinegar will neutalize the urine
