Ya know, thats actually a really good question, when you really think about it, it doesn't exactly sound very appealing. Its not so much the act of kissing thats special, its just the feeling that you get when a kiss is special, or when its with a special person thats romantic. Its probably close to being the best feeling that a person can ever experience. If you've never experience this feeling maybe you just haven't kissed the right person yet. You'll find them though, and then you'll realize why its romantic.

Well, physically, there are tons of nerve endings in the lips with stimulate different senses in the brain. Emotionally, people say that is the most intimate contact you can have with someone. Most people only kiss those they have the strongest feelings for. Personally, I think it's romantic because it brings you close the one you care about, without having to go too far.

It just shows someone that you really really love them! When you kiss a girl on the lips, a girl takes it as that you LOVE her! Not just LIKE her enough to kiss her on the cheek.

I think its becase lips are loaded with nerves and they get stimulated when we kiss,which releases some kind of hormones in our bodies that gives us that tingly,intimate feeling.....which leads us to have that whole romantic feeling (I think , according to an article i read somewhere...)
