All of the nerves that feed into your forearm and hand are bundled together. They fit right between the two bones in the elbow joint, and are exposed without protection when your elbow is at certain angles. So when you hit it just right, you trigger the pain sensors in ALL those nerves! It hurts so much because there are so many nerves, and it is a direct hit. OUCH!
