I think its normal. 9 year kids are old enough to know what it means but not really the consequences. He was probably in a bad mood and learned somewhere along the line that when people are mad they are violent. People imitate people. Especially children.

Well, I would imagine only you can answer that question. Have you had any issues since then? Ever contemplated killing anyone or anything like a cat or dog? I mean really thought about it. Heck, I think alot of people at some point or another have thought about pushing someone off a cliff or down a deeeeeeep well!! Does that make them mentally unstable or abnormal? Heck no. JMO.

I would just make sure that it doesn't go overboard. I've heard of people giving their children gory books to read and movies to watch because they say that it will come naturally anyways. I wouldn't encourage that but rather try and give your child better things to draw such as animals, friends, race cars, and so forth.

I think that at the age of 9 your mind is learning and watching everything around you. This includes the news, local newspaper, and movies. I think that this age is very susceptible for children to mimic things that fascinate them. Does this mean that you wanted to murder someone...no I don't think so.

i would ask him where he got these ideas from. this may or may not be serious thing but you can never be too sure. if the problem continues or he starts talking about killing someone then i would ask a counselor or someone of that nature what you should do. hope this helps. good luck.

cartoons? video games? tv? movies? can you name a culprit? it depends on who it is in the picture they're killing. If it's a monster/demon/fictional character I wouldn't lose sleep, but if it's actually someone you know...perhaps some anger management discussions/therapy could help.
