Give them flaxseed oil...you can buy it in a bottle and put a teaspoon of it on their dry food once daily (mix it in). And yes, any oatmeal will work (just not flavored). They will have great skin and fur in about one month, give it some time!

Edit: Fish oil and flaxseed oil do not have a blood thinning effect on dogs...in fact you will notice it is added to some of the high quality foods available for our pets. Ask your vet...they are not dangerous supplements, they are perfectly natural and safe.

Dont do that. Those pills have the effect of a "blood" thinner. They could cause a brain hemorage or internal hemorage of kind. Why are you doing that anyhow? It will produce no real effects on a healthy dog. Before you do that have the dogs heart checked out by a vet and be sure the vet OKs those pills.

if your dogs are healthy then don't fix what isn't broke. if you want a good all around suppliment try brewers yeast. they're are wieght based dosing instructions right on the tub. you should probly talk to your vet before you do any thing.
oatmeal won't do any thing but make them sticky.
