The 1970 1/2 Falcon wasbuilt on the Torino/Fairlane body with Falcon markings. The biggest difference between the two models is that the Falcons were 2 door sedans (post sedan). Ford produced just over 26,000 of this model Falcon, which included the 2-dr, 4-dr, and station wagon variants. Most Falcons came with the standard 6 cylinder engine in keeping with the Falcon image. In addition to the 6 cylinder, Ford also offered all of the Torino's power options like the 429cj package. This was not the same car as the rest of the Falcon line, which ended with the 1970 model. Does that answer your question?

the ford falcon in that shape was reintroduced to the Australian market in four door and rhd platform as the xr model in 1967. and the car kept evolving in the xt / xw and the lastly xy model in 1971.

the xr was unveiled at the sydney motor show as a coupe but public reaction wasn't that great. just about every engine has been squeezed into the shock towers of these falcons over the years.

the gtho model (top spec was the v8s the last model had a 11.1 compression 351 clevland)

bill bourke had a special xw falcon built its the ONLY factory R (428 big block v8) code ford falcon in the world. bourkes reckoning came from if I can have a mustang R code why not a falcon? so ford built it. its in private hands now and still looks as good as the day it rolled off the production line.

1972 was the change over model to the xa/xb/xc shape (yes the mad max coupes, and sedans)

Thats 1 RARE BIRD. I was under the Impression that ford put the Ax to the falcon in 69 was the last year. I am probably mistaken. YOU need to go to ford online and check it out. use the vin # see what its options were. then see if it has what iTs options list said it came with.check your engin tranny and rearends # swee if the match,ect...
if ford cant help their are a whole lot of ford collectors that will help you out. You might have A Barret Jackson classic that will bring
mega bucks at auction. good Luck.

Hi, you own a rare car!!!, don't know exact numbers but they were produced just before the Torino; actually, if you compare both, they are almost the same with the exeption of grilles and tail lamps.
If you plan to keep it, I'm sure it will increase its value.
You can see more at the Falcon Club of America.

I own a 68 and it's the best car I have owned.

Regards.*-*

I believe you are refering to a Falcon van?cab forward design with the engine between the seats?Ford produced many with window style, and pick up styles.the vehicle became known as the econoline after mid-production year 1970.

Wow. Id think that since you own the car you'd know something about it. At least more than me. You know things like its color, whether or not you have comfy seats and...well...pretty much anything. Id suggest looking at the manual and if you donthave one I would sell it and buy a car that has one. That should work for you.

if I'm not real bad mistaken they stopped making that falcon in 1968 ,so i don't think you have a 701/2 half model,i have never seen one, they made a maverick but not a falcon, good luck.

There's a reason they don't make those anymore.
