If your child is in school right now and you want to start homeschooling, you must check with the school office first. They will give you the address and the phone number for the office.
If your child is not yet in school, then go to the nearest school district and inquire. Home schooling is done through the district; it's not like suddenly stopping school and staying home. At the homeschool center they will provide you with books, etc.

What do you mean a "homeschool office"? Homeschooling is at home. Are you looking for an online program? A homeschooling support group? The person you need to contact about homeschooling in your state?

Maverick's link has nothng to do with the home schooling being dicussed here. It lists distance learning programs for adults, not home based education for children.
try Googling "Chicago home school" or searching yahoo groups for Chicago home schoolers
