broc, steamed, peas, mac n cheese, chicken, fish, , almost all fruits, squash, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, dried fruits, whole wheat toast, asparagus, whole wheat waffles or pancakes, rice, mushrooms, jello, salad, may i suggest you NOT say your child is picky in front of them, offer your child lots of different foods and be excited about them, your child can eat everything you can now, i never bought baby food, your child will go thru fazes that it seems they wont eat anything but they will pass its just how children are, your child will become as picky as you make them, at one it's too early to label your child picky anyway

My 1yr old is extremely picky. He will only eat cheese chunks and cheerios on his own. The rest of his food still comes from Gerber 3rds and occasionally he'll eat graduates.

My daughter is year old too. She loves most of the Gerber meals. The Gerber Graduate box meals (meat, pasta and veggies) are great, but not really finger foods. There are also some little cups of pasta, called Pasta Pick-ups, also by Gerber, that are great and he can eat them by himself. And they are good for him. Best of luck.

first does he choke often or are you just scared of it? some kids don't devolp a good reflex to this until older. my daughter is a year old and eats just about anything. she can eat a grilled cheese sandwhich as long as it's divided into quarters. she naws on full size green beans, mashes peas and cooked carrots in her mouth. anything she can fit into her hand and gnaw it down she'll eat. just try him with what you are eating just cut up smaller and let him have at it.

Gerber is a very good food to start a baby off with since its very good for them, you can also do simple foods like Cheerios, rice, spaggetti and some other small foods. You can also ask your doctor what foods are good for a baby his age.

I used to make pasta for my son, (rotini or something like it), put on a little butter, salt, and parmesean cheese, and mix it with some cooked veggies, like peas or carrots. He loved it, he would shove it in his mouth by the chubby handful!
