In certain instances, He may.
In the life of an unbeliever, He will not grant this request, because God knows that if they die at that point in time, they will be lost for eternity. Out of Love for the person, He chooses not to do this, rather, He gives them every opportunity to accept Him and repent of their sin. In the life of a believer, I believe God has granted this request on occasion. Here again, God may have a plan for this individual, so He may decide not to grant this request, until His plan in that persons life has been fulfilled.
I do believe that some people have known God so intimately; that their separation from Him was causing them much grief and sorrow. I believe God would answer this request and bring them into heaven where He is.
The unbeliever cannot receive this request, simply because, by doing so, God would be condemning that person for all eternity.
It is Gods wish that not one soul should perish, apart from knowing Christ Jesus. God is always looking out for our best interests. God Bless You....Peace.

Because there is a reason for you being here and if you are not saved yet, and die then you will go to hell. There are ways of getting out of depression without going home to God, unfortunenately. There is a time appointed for you to die and it may not be your time. Besides I have seen what suicide does to those left behind when they loose the love one agfter the person killed themselves, and its not pretty. Its better to seek help for depression and look to God then to continue to try and go to heaven.

because, for whatever reason, it is not their time. i saw this with my grandmother. there was unfinished business of which we knew nothing. she lived in pain for 13 years, suffereing mostly in silence - offering up her sufferings to God for th e love of her family. her last 6 months were sheer agony, but it was also for a reason and her family is closer becuase of it.

Christ suffered more savigly and strongly thenanything we here could ever imagine. I've always been taught that suffereing in this life is actually to be seen as a blessing - a Cross God has given the person, that, like Jesus, will guide them safely Home.

I'm sorry you know someone who is suffering and in pain. it's not easy for the family. I pray God brings you all comfort and peace.

John 12:25
The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

-now of course this verse is speaking to those who are following Christ and not loving their earthly lives but looking to their eternal life with Him. If you are saved, you should not ask God to kill you, but ask the Lord to continue giving you perserverence and strength- Only the Lord brings pure Joy into someone's life through trials and tribulations when you seek Him and rely on Him. If someone loves their life here on earth, they will lose it in the end- meaning this temporary life is meaningless and their eternal life will be separated from God- which is the most important. Those who hate their lives here on earth- who know nothing holds them here, but they look to the Lord and wait for Him- they are the ones who receive eternal life- those who believe in the Lord Jesus.

Because God works on his own time.

If everytime we asked for something, even death, then wouldn't he just be a wizard? He is our father but not our fairy godfather.

I am SO glad you asked this question. Eighteen years ago, I was pregnant with my first child. I had the worst case of morning sickness you could ever imagine. I was hospitalized twice. I had to take a leave of absence from work and I had a central I.V. which was fed through my arm and up close to my heart. It literally saved my life because I almost died. I was throwing up EVERY 10-15 minutes, 24 hours a day, for 2-1/2 months straight - I kid you not. I am talking EVERY 10-15 minutes, round the clock for over 2 months - without a break. I was truly suffering. I have never experienced such suffering. I begged God to help me feel better. NOTHING. I continued to suffer...and suffer. Finally, I begged God to let me die. NOTHING. Still I suffered...and suffered. I cried. I was so depressed. I just wanted to die and be rid of my suffering. Every waking moment I was nauseated beyond belief. If I even turned my head, I threw up. There was nothing in my body left to throw up, but still the urge was there and I threw up stomach acid, bile, and finally, I just had dry heaves (sorry to be gross here). It was horrible. I could get no relief, despite the anti-nausea medication I was given. I had a nurse staying with me to give me my medication (shots) and to monitor me. As I said, the only thing keeping me alive was the vitamins and fluids in the I.V. bag. One day I passed out from the nausea and had the most amazing dream. My dog, who had died a few years before, was jumping up and down, and running in circles to get me to follow her. I was so happy to see her and started to bend down and pet her. Then something held me back and I didn't do it. I woke up and she was gone. It was at that time that the nurse told me that when I passed out, my blood pressure dropped so low that she couldn't find my pulse. When I realized that I nearly died, I was more depressed than ever because I had been BEGGING God to let me die and He wouldn't do it.

Well, after about 13 weeks of pregnancy, I could finally keep small bites of food and liquid down, and I was slowly improving. Today, my 17-1/2 year old son is my pride and joy. I am so thankful for him. He is healthy, he is a good kid, and he means the world to me. My doctor told me that if I didn't improve, she would have to abort him. Thankfully, God answered my prayer, but not the way I asked Him to. He healed me, but on HIS terms -not mine. As a result of my suffering, others have been encouraged through the years to hang in there when the going got tough. My niece got pregnant while in high school a couple years after I did. She was almost as sick with morning sickness as I was. All the people she thought were her friends abandoned her when she decided to keep her baby rather than abort it (since she was 16 and unmarried). She was SO sick. Then, she remembered how sick I was and was encouraged because she saw that I got better and went on to give birth to a healthy child. Her own son, 2 years younger than my son, is alive today because I suffered and was an encouragement for my niece when she too suffered. Both my son and hers, are great kids. I can't imagine what life would be like without either of them.

Sometimes people have an incurable disease and they are suffering. I don't know the answer to your question when it comes to that. I don't know why God allows them to go through that. I do know that God does not take pleasure in watching us suffer. He loves us, and I believe it makes Him sad when we suffer. Still, He sees the whole picture and He is aware of how our suffering can touch someone else, save another life, influence another's life or make positive changes that can have a lasting impact on others. The only thing I would say further in this area is that whoever you may be referring to with regard to the suffering, I hope that you can encourage that person to hang in there. I know it is hard. My heart is with you, if it is you who are suffering, or with the person you are referring to. Blessings to you.

Because if He gave you everything you asked for he would be an order taker. that He is not. Ever ask for something and later were thankful you didn't get it.... That answers your question.
