Words hurt, The words echo in our minds and we sometimes start believing whatever it is that was said about us. We wonder if it's true, does everyone feel that way about us and just not say it? They are words that hurt our hearts and stay with us like scars for years to come. We do have the power within us to heal from these wounds, it takes time and TLC. Just remember... If someone calls you a chair, does that make you a chair? =)

A railery is always acceptable. I would lough back by being sarcastic with myself. Although, when someone makes fun of me because they want to laugh, even if they know I would get hurt, I get angry. I am getting hurt by words unfortunately. And I do care about others opinions on me. Some of them had made me a better person, and others just helped me realize how bad can people be when they are jealous or vain.

No. It's not true.
The truer saying is, "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words hurt worse than anything."
I could go on and on here, but the bottom line is that is sucks when people make fun of you. That's all.

It might hurt depending on who's saying it and what is being said but after a while I just get over it. The way I deal with it is by reducing the person saying stuff about me to nothing, if you're nothing and you mean nothing then what you say does not matter and therefore doesn't hurt me.

To be perfectly honest, I feel that anyone who feels the need to make fun of any other individual to feel good about themselves has serious issues. Therefore, when people say things about me it really doesn't hurt me, because they're obviously the ones who have the problems, and if they feel that they have to try to hurt me to feel good, then I'm simply not going to give them the satisfaction of seeing me hurt. I choose to be the bigger person. Its an easy decision to make, you just can't let people get to you. The people who truly care for you will never say anything to hurt you, and anyone who says something to hurt you does not care for you, the people who care about you are the only ones who matter. So just ignore those people who says things to try and hurt you, if you show no signs of being hurt, they won't receive that twisted satisfaction, and eventually they'll stop tormenting you.

part of it is true, but words does hurt, it can lower your self esteem and make u feel worthless. to be honest with u, it all depends on what people are saying about me and who are sayin them. sometimes i careless about what people say about me, as long as you know who u are, anybody else negative opinion doesnt matter.

it depends on who is making the fun and of what they are kidding about. If its a friend then I'm cool. If I don't know them and it is kinda personal then I get embarrassed.
