I've been a Christian now for 2+ years but I realized I still have to make a further commitment in believe--- the bible says we are to be certain of what we hope for... but how can we be certain in anything about God? What should I do?

We do know within our soul that there is a God. We just have to stop talking ourselves out of believing. Relax and let God show you.

Hooray for agnosticism! Since there's no proof either way, and no way of knowing, the question "Does God exist?" is completely irrelevant. You can believe whatever you want, or you can choose not to believe at all. It's up to you.

Your faith in god completely comes down to you. If you believe in a god then you must accept the fact that he obviously didn't give you the power to know that he actually exists. This is why it is called faith! God tests your will, not your knowledge!

God's infinite nature is impossible for us to understand, but He has revealed to us what we need to know about Him and how He wants to connect with us. Embrace what the Bible tells you and look forward to heaven when we will learn far more of who God is and how much He loves us.

Now you know why God HAD to become incarnate and come to us "in the flesh". He has always loved us so much -- even when we have sinned but people moved away from him thinking that God was somehow not willing to love us anymore. In other words, we took to projecting our weakened nature upon Him. We could not believe the prophets -- this was too marvelous for us to even conceive of. But the Virgin Mary did. She had to first conceive OF him in her heart before she could conceive him in her womb.

And so God became flesh like one of us -- and walked among us so that we would not be intimidated by his presence. It's the same way with Jesus being present to us in the Catholic faith in the simple, hidden form of bread and wine which truly do become the very Body and Blood of Jesus. Truly if Jesus were present among us today-- would we recognize him? I doubt it for Jesus said, "whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me".

Jesus now reigns in his glorified state -- we, too, would be intimidated by his presence -- and so he comes as bread -- the ultimate staple of life.

Ask for proof, then don't deny it when it appears
