Excellent question! The name is hated. The person is hated. Why? What did He do to you? Jesus, of course, being the Lord Jesus Christ, the creator of this universe and the Saviour for those in this world who desire to be saved.
I guess people just don't respond well to the thought of a loving Saviour. It kind of brings out the worst in them. I think it has a lot to do with sin. Jesus exposed the sins of mankind when He came to this world to die on the Cross. He died for the sins of the world. A big price He paid. God dying for earth trash. But He saw and sees something of value in us. He wants us to love Him, but we hate Him. Go figure.

Jesus is not the key to dislike but the lies that are told about Jesus. the following is a quote from Sigmund Freud :
Religion is comparable to a childhood neurosis.

Because the people who hold his name up do not always hold up his teachings. Hypocrisy of the follower is attributed to the one he calls his leader. Therefore, the leader's name is besmirched by the follower.
Truly the name Jesus is not hated.

It's not. It's very popular among Hispanics.
Speaking seriously, I have no problem with people believing in Jesus. I just don't think I have to live by other peoples' beliefs.

The Cross is an offense against mankind. The True Gospel that mankind is helpless and stupid, and can only get to Heaven through the substitutionary death of Jesus, is insulting and degrading to the human intellect, and to human pride.
It's really not that hard to understand.

because the world hates good and loves evil. It was prophesied about since the beginning that he would be hated. Jesus was hated when he came to earth-thats why they killed him.

Jesus isn't hated. Its doubtful he ever existed. Hating something that doesn't exist is stupid. But the things that Christians do, are.
