my friends shoplift. they ake those plactic things of stuff then take it!!! they dont even feel bad about it or anything!!! what will happen if they are cought??? we are 13-15years old . i do not go to the mall with them anymore because of this ecause they take about $1000 worth of stuff each time. how can i get them to stop saying no is not enough. should i tell mall secerity???
any help to any answer would be great thank you

Okay, If you are caught you honestly will not be screwed. You will have to deal with embarrassment first and forth most. Also since you are 13-15 years old you technically do not have to live by high morals. I have zero respect or sympathy for stealer's. If caught the store will probably call the police. I will soon become a police officer and the police will let you go and give you a warning and call your parents. If I had my choice you would end up in a juvenile detention center because stealer's are the filth of society. Anyways, if this is a continued behavior you may end up in Juvenile Detention Center. Just stop while you can! If this happens when you are 17 you may be accountable for your actions then. Let me tell you as blunt as possible you and your little friends are CRIMINALS. You don't want to be labeled as a CRIMINAL do you? Think before you make such stupid decisions kid. Hope my message got across to you little girl.

Well LINZ, You are at a crossroad in your life and there will be MANY MORE TO COME. First, You have knowledge about a FELONY ACT!!, which means if you tell someone your socalled - friends will probably be pretty P.O.'d. But, if you don't tell someone and the police find out you had prior knowledge, you then could possibly be charged. NOW< here's your two paths; You go on being "friends" with them and probably wind up in jail with a criminal record that could follow you for LIFE!, or You get away from the others before you get caught up in something that you'll regret for a lifetime, and Make your start at being a standup Citizen who knows that the Law has been broken and you do your civic duty and report it!!. You may feel bad at first, and you may endure jeering and or threats BUT! in the LONGRUN, YOU! have just taken the road to being a responsible young citizen and can lookforward to many rewards in life. Life isn't fair Hon, and in this day and age we need to start early in order to beat the odds.
I hereby say in Jesus's Name a prayer of strength and direction for a very intelligent young Lady who has ask for guidence and my prayer being that She continues to follow Her Heart and do the Right Thing A-Men!!

What happens if they are caught. there are misdemenor and a felony levels of theft which is more then likely what they would be charged with. In most states anything stolen worth more then about $700 is a felony. you dont want to be
anywhere in the area when one of these is going down kiddo. just being with someone doing a felony makes you guilty of a serious misdemenor. and you cant say you didnt know they were doing it either. so you wont have a leg to stand on in court. it sounds like youve got a real head on your shoulders though, so i doubt this will happen. your on your way to guranteed success in life. alot of young adults would have just joined in under pressure. dont waste too much time on trying to save anyone besides yourself though. this is the time in life alot of your friends will head in different directions. simply face it, these others may not be on your level. its good to let them know that eventually everyone gets caught. and then its not much fun. besides giving up living with anytype of honor or integrity. and that isnt something gotten back very easily. mabey take them aside one by one w/o the other knowing. you choose the ones you think are worth it. i was in prison for 5 years. i just started out going into an open garage to steal a bicycle. and ended up fighting the owner off of me down the block. that brought it up to a robbery. then
i got another felony for hurting the person. i was cornered and scared, and i was the one attacked. but then because i won the fight, and also the person turned out to be an off duty cop. ooops. i only thought i was gonna steal a bike. how bad is that ? The thing is you never know what is going to happen to you when you lose your integrity. its downright hazardous !!! so let them know from me, its not worth it. and remember dont waste too much time on these people. especially if it puts you at risk. its much easier just to find new friends. good luck !

staying away from them like you said you are doing is the first step in the right direction. they will be caught. believe me, they will be caught. eventually. they'll go to juvenile court and have to do public service or something. hopefully that will make an impression . just being arrested and put through the system is enough for some. just stay away from them. there is nothing you can do for them. keep your own butt safe!!!!!

Get them to steal you a dictionary.
Seriously, get new friends. If they keep it up they WILL get busted and if you are with them you will get in trouble. Its just like anything else...keep it up long enough and you will get caught. Ive worked installing security systems/cameras in stores and malls, you would be amazed at the detail and places we can hide those cameras.

Just stay away from them they will get caught and you better off being away from them. Being a juvenile, they penalty will be less than an adult but a criminal record will come to haunt them for the rest of their lives.
