I find alot of people in highschool dating guys and instantly saying they are in love. I think that it is possible to be actually in love in highschool but not somthing that comes around too much. My aunt has been dating her husband of 30 years since they were 13. That was love. Most people who get married out of highschool get divorced. That must be lust then. What do you think?

it is hard to say. people say i love you very quick these days. like in 1 (ONE!!!) day. and im like: "HOW!!!???... you dont even know my favorite color/food/sport/hobby/ect.?" ..."maybe not, but i know i love you." to me love is soooo much deeper. like if you would take a bullet. if you would lay your life down for her without hesitation. that is real love. how can you experiance that in one day? it is also hard to say for another reason. you mature so much in those 4 years it is crazy. im a senior now, and my thought process is so much differant than as a freshman. i only thought about how my decisions affect me. i was a kid then; now i am a man. and im sure i will mature much more through college. after graduation i'll probably be like... "i was a kid as a high school senior, now i am a man."

A lot of it is just lust... and it's people wanting to believe they're in love. I know what you mean, I have cousins in high school, and they (and all their friends) say I love you to someone before they even know them. They'll start "dating" one day, and the next day they're "in love"... it doesn't work that way, although high school love can definitely be real.
