Sure, our Boxers love them!

We use them as treats insted of the fatty ones.

I also give them pineapple, apples and tomatoes.

Edit: What did he eat? Did you over feed him?

Please give more info, vomiting can be caused by many things. If he is vomiting blood go to the vet.

Although bananas aren't poisonous to dogs, you may want to be careful of giving too much. They're very high in potassium & if your dog has any kidney problems this could result in problems. I would limit intake or omit all together. You might try giving as a treat in place of bananas a spoonful of canned pumpkin. This not only provides excellent fiber but also since most dogs enjoy the taste it's usually easily given. Check with your vet next visit to see if kidney function levels are normal .

When you feed your dog bananas and she always vomits afterwards, why do you keep do it? Just stop it.... Try something called Dog Treats if you want to give her a little goody once in a while. I'm not trying to sound like I'm insulting you so please don't take it personally. I just think feeding dogs fruits and salads just goes against a dog's nature. Some people give their dog beer - what's that about?

I don't see why not, as long as the bananas arent' causing your dog to throw up. My dog won't eat anything along the lines of fruits or veggies, except bananas...so weird...it must be a dog thing.

Bananas yes they are fine, to stop a dog vomiting give raw apples mashed to a pulp, remove skin and pips etc, this will stop the problem, however do you know why she is vomiting, this really should be looked at first !

I can't think of a good reason to give a dog a banana. If he really loves them and tolerates them, just give him a bite of one.

I'm not sure, but I've always wondered since the black lab I used to have was quite fond of them. I gave them to him as treats.

Why are you feeding your dog bananas? Bananas are people food not dog food. Feed it dog food which is what is meant to feed your animal. A healthy diet will make for a healthy dog. Also walk your dog for excercise.
