they work in different ways. some are anti-inflammatory.. some are steroidal.. some bind the receptors in your brain that block the signals that say "ouch!"

They can cause drowsiness, stomach upset, constipation, and can be habit forming

They give me energy actually, They seem in their catagory that while helping your pain, they also lift the burden of other things & provide a kind of euphoria. I think those who say that they knock them out are reacting to other's opinions & the suggestion makes them loopy. The more sensible reaction is the one above.....show me your laundry!! Where's the vacuum!? Can I wash your car? Do want me to organize your office? LOL!! But true for me!

ACTUALLY WORKS ON THE PART OF THE BRAIN THAT'S DEALING WITH BODY PAIN , BUT PAIN KILLERS ARE HIGHLY HABIT FORMING!
