They are deadly infections of the vagina. They cause the skin to crack and bleed. When that happens, the infection travels to the blood stream. It causes nausea, vomiting, internal bleeding, heart failure and hemmorhaging. It's impossible to define where they come from, but they strike suddenly and without notice.

There is currently no cure.

Yeast are tiny organisms that normally live in small numbers on the skin and inside the vagina. The acidic environment of the vagina helps keep yeast from growing. If the vagina becomes less acidic, too many yeast can grow and cause a vaginal infection.

The acidic balance of the vagina can be changed by your period (menstruation), pregnancy, diabetes, some antibiotics, birth control pills and steroids. Moisture and irritation of the vagina also seem to encourage yeast to grow.

Burning, itching, and a raw feeling are the usual types of symptoms. Pain during intercourse or a whitish discharge are other symptoms.

They are very common in women and nothing to be afraid of. You should be diagnosed the first time you get one by your doctor who will recommend the right med for you. There are several types of creams, lotions, and tablets you can take.
Yeast infections are so common that 3/4 of women will have one at some time in their lives. Half of all women have more than one infection in their lives. If you have symptoms of a yeast infection, your doctor will probably want to talk to you about your symptoms and examine you to make sure a yeast infection is the cause.

And no, they do not clear up on their own.

Yes, the creams can be purchased without a prescription. But since you don't know what you have bothering you, see your doctor first. Some creams are better than others depending upon what type of vaginitis you have.

Yeast is always present in the vagina however if the ph in the vagina gets upset it can cause the yeast to multiply causing an infection. Nothing to be upset about. You can get overgrowth of yeast from taking antibiotics, eating too much sugar,or being stressed.

You must treat with cream or suppositories in the vaginal area for this. I have found Monistat definitely to be the best treatment.
This may be purchased without a prescription at any drugstore.

1.A build up of bacteria (bad bacteria)
2. Medication, synthetics, nature, diet changes
3. Red itchy vagina, thick white discharge
4. No an over the counter medication will clear it up. But while you are clearing it up abstain from sex.. You can pass the bacteria back and forth between you and your partner.

Eating yogurt keeps the good bacteria levels up, and cranberry juice for a healthy urinary track

Nope. You need to call a doctor again. If you didn't like the last one you went to, find another one. Perhaps a female gyne would be better for you. And the questions you'll be asked are for diagnostic purposes. Answer honestly.
