My retainers?

Question

I got retainers after my braces got off to keep them in there place and was told to keep them on 24 hours/7 days a week. For the first 2 months i kept them on all the time but after i started only wearing them at night now its been like 4 months since i went to go last see my orthadontist and I have an appointment one week from today Ive kept them on the whole day today and except to untill tuesday what harm have i caused my self if any and will the orothodontist notice? please help

okay, really they should have only had you do that for two days and then move to just nights.
i always forget to even put on my retainer at night but it's been a few years since i got them off so the muscle has memory, while right after you get them off your teeth want to move back to where they started, therefore wear your retainers often no mattere how long you have had your beaces off
your ortho prolly won't notice if you kept in the retainers for a day or so, and he'll be like "oh yeah great job" so yay go you
