May the peace, blessing and mercy of God be upon you

I am a Muslim, who was born in America and now live in Canada. I must say this should not be the case. It is vital for a multicultural society to be well integrated with all its parts. Isolationists only create problems by creating barriers. Good Muslims must abide by the law of land they live in, just because I live in a secular society doesn't mean that I cannot practice my religion fully or that I have to engage in the ills of this society. We have the freedom to choose not to go to bars, or the freedom to eat where we please. Thus gaining even more reward from God since we are in a place where our religion is not the way of life.

Peace Be With You

I think it good to always strive for the best of both worlds.

However, there are certain aspects of living in a Western world that conflict with prohibitions in the Islamic religion, like gambling, drinking alcohol and eating pig products.

If you really want to talk about separate communities, you should first study how Americans behave in foreign countries. YES, THEY FORM VERY TIGHT AND ISOLATED COMMUNITIES!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT!! And some of them don't really intermingle or want to intermingle with the local population, they separate themselves and have drinking parties, play baseball and other events that isolate them in the country they are living in!

So, this is a double standard, especially for Westerners like Americans. In fact, French, British, Belgium and other European countries also form "communities" in African nations...

Hell, no. People escape to those countries from Muslim nations so they don't have to fear sharia law anymore!

No, that is not their land. They are under the authority of the host nation. If they obtained a majority and voted on it, I guess that they could.
