You need to go to your local US Post Office to apply for a passport. You can go to the USPS website http://www.usps.com/ and print out the forms and read exactly what you need to apply for the passport.

The nearest post office with passport services near Puyallup is in Sumner. Another location is in Tacoma. You do need to do this at a post office with the passport office. Many require an appointment - particuliarly the smaller offices.

You can get a Passport Application at the Post Office. Then just fill it out with the required documents, pictures, etc. and wait.
