You like him. Do you trust him? Think of your most deepest darkest secret. Could you tell him? Is he a really good and close to you? I'm not saying go up to him and say your deepest secret. it's just a way to think "hmm...is this guy right for me" And let him know too. If he comes on as to strong or intimidating or whatever it is that makes you insecure, let him know. And as always follow your gut.
Definitely take it slow.

Take it easy and get to know eachother. Being asked out by someone you like doesn't mean you need to be in a relationship of "more than friends" with him right away.
"Friends w/ benifits"??....if you can handle it, why not? But being scared in relationships like you are now....I don't think it's healthy. In the long run, any woman would still want something "solid".
So might as well...take things slow for now.
Expect that you'll be kissing a lot of frogs. That way, you'll appreciate the Prince more when he comes along. Good Luck!

"friends w/ benefits" never last anyways.Either YOU FALL IN LOVE or you move on to the next and you might FALL IN LOVE with the next.Either way it goes sometime in life youre ganna ened up in a relationship.NO not all relationships work out but thats life...you have to keep searching till you find the right one.And if you are just trying to have friends with benefits youre never ganna have that special love.Yes love does hurt and 9 out of 10 relationships will be real painful or a waste of time. And as long as youre out there expecting the worse....youre ganna experience the worst.Just relax and let things happen.

if you like the guy and you know him a little you should probably give him a chance the only way to find happiness with a guy is to let go of the past and look forward. it wont b easy use what you ve learned from bad relationships and try to make this one happen. it could fail but even if it does enjoy the datin then move on to the next guy til you find the man who ll make you compleat.

That is a good reason to be scared but you need to take some chances. But I understand your position. But it also really hurts the guy if he really does like you. Because he wants you to be trusting enough of him so that he can trust himself with you as well.
