My brothers best friend told his family and my brother that he likes me but he wont tell me. I am friends with his sisters and we all went skating one night and this guy started hitting on me. He got all mad he was about to punch him in his head. Later on my brother told me about it and how mad he was, and thats why he stayed pretty much on my hip the rest of the night. I like him too and i do get jealous when girls flirt with him but i dont do that. I mean were not even dating why is he jealous? He wont tell me to my face that he likes me but he will show me in lots of other ways, why wont he say something? All of my friends come over and notice it and they go "ask him out!" but im too shy for that. What do i do????

Well my guess is you are all in that young teen age group---and welcome to young love. The differences between boys and girls are obvious--but not the emotional stuff---we all differ in emotions and growing up and maturing happens slowly as time goes on. What he did was typical young guy stuff---but no one really knows why. He doesn't know why either.But the grown up thing to do is get him at an appropriate time to talk about it and how you feel. I mean a nice easy, calm talk....explain if you have to---and tell him there is no reason to act like a guardian for you. You do not appreciate it---it doesn't prove a thing---and if he does express a like for you--you expect him to act as a mature young man--respectful, polite and FUN to be with. You can talk or skate or study or hang with anyone you care to--it is YOUR choice--not his. If this guy cannot act properly, move on---I mean it. Good luck

You both like eachother. Time to start officially dating. You both obviously want eachother for yourselfs so why not date him. Just ask him if he likes you in a offhand sort of way. If he makes a positive answer then admit it too

He's jealous. The writing is on the wall - he wants you bad but is too shy to admit it. Perhaps because he thinks your too good for him? He's doesn't want to get shut down? Can't handle rejection?

that's correct... if he likes you, and you like him... and he doesn't say anything... then YOU are the one that should go to him and ask him what is going on...
he gets jealous cause that's how people react when they like someone and they see that the person gets the attention from others.... is very natural

Maybe he is affriad to get turned down by you and obiously he likes you alot. just ask he is sure he wont say no.

Only ask him out if you truely love him. If not don't let that worry you. He is a jerk, and my point is this, if he acts this stupid before you have a commitment with him.....can you trust him when you do?
