I'm not sure what you mean by southern PA either but I agree that the Chinatown bus is the best way to go if you can easily get to Philadelphia or Baltimore. Everyone I know swears by it since all my friends are broke too. We drove down to Philly two years ago from NYC and our van broke down in Camden, NJ. We spent the night in Philly but the van wasn't ready by the next day. We left two of our friends in Philly with the van and my boyfriend and I found the Chinatown bus station, bought our tickets and a 1/2 hour later we were on the bus back to NYC. It was only $12 and it takes 2.5 - 3 hours. I think it's $20 if you take it from Baltimore. The seats were pretty uncomfortable and I was getting really cranky after awhile. But you can't complain much since it's so cheap.

Either get to the NJ Transit train near Trenton or take the Bus out of Mt. Laurel.

you could try stickin your thumb out on the runway and hoping the pilot stops before he hits you and offers you a ride for sheer cheek. else you could browse the internet for cheep deals.

I know there are buses and maybe even a metro, but I would say just drive. Buses can be expensive, too.
