Can you get any kind of disease from making out with random guys?

Question

I've never made out with anyone.

Then, I'll wait until I want to get married and find a decent guy.

I just googled those diseases. How disgusting I have to say. So I should have my first kiss until I get married? No way.

yes they have germs just like the rest of us...you could get anything from colds and viruses to cold sores, glandular fever, meningicocal c, chicken pox etc. The problem with it being a "random" guy is they are less likely to tell you if they're sick (with say the colds or coughs) or when they do develop the symptoms of meningicocal or chicken pox etc. they have no way of telling you...so you can go get checked out. Early treatment with antibiotics when you have possibly contracted meningicocal is the difference between life and death...when someone comes in with meningicocal into a emergency dept...they always ask who have they been in close contact with (ie kissing) and everyone who lives in the house, then they all get treated with Antibiotics.


Now that I've scared you...may i add i have never gotten anything from kissing a guy other then maybe a cold or viral infection...however my brother did get glandular fever...maybe i was just lucky.

Always make the guy wear a latex condom or keep your legs closed, after all if you are sleeping around, so are your partners, don't give yourself a death sentence by being foolish or careless.
I don't mean to sound mean, but there is nothing more painful than seeing someone ruin there life, or worse die when a little care and common sense may help prevent it

You could get oral herpes. Some people don't know this, but if you or the person you are kissing have oral herpes, and then one of you puts your mouth on someone's genitals, it can/will turn into GENITAL herpes. So just be careful. Not every sore in your mouth is herpes, but sometimes it could be, so if someone has a sore in or around their mouth, try to avoid kissing them. There is no cure for herpes.
