I want the work finished by noon

Is this sentence grammatically right?

Grammatically "correct"?
There is really nothing wrong with the sentence, though. Either way works, but I would say "I want the work to be finished by noon." is the better option.

Correct! Although it sounds rather mean, heh.
Try saying "I would like the work finished by noon"
And as the others said.. you can add the 'to be' in the sentence as well.
"I would like the work to be finished by noon"
