I think it is Rocky Mountain Oysters. I ate them in South Dakota, and they tasted just like hot dogs dipped in batter and fried (corn dogs), with hot sauce added. Male American Indians have been known to eat Canine "Oysters," to heal prostrate problems. That I would never do!

Mountain oysters ? UGH ! Never have and never will. I guess anything edible is a delicacy to someone. (beetles...dog....monkey brains ) They have to use up all those parts somehow, even if they have to invent new foodstuffs.
