I'm interested in one of my guy friends as more than a friend, but he seems so against the idea of romance and love. How can I make him open up a little more and to stop dwelling on how bad his past relationships were?

You can't. You can't just force him to have a romantic feeling for you. It will end up soon. Wait for the right moment and right guy. Don't hurry just because V-day is in two weeks

Well until he's ready to tell you you won't be able to force him to tell you anything. If you try he'll think less of you like she can't respect my feelings of privacy so why try. So let him tell him on his own it may take time but he'll appreciate that you actually waited.

maybe he was just hurt really bad and is not ready to move on...it takes time for some people. i would rush him though...that could just make things worse for you...be patient and good luck
