It's an allergic reaction to something. You need to get to the ER if someone can drive you there. If you are alone call 911.

You can develop and allergy to anything at anytime. Once this episode is over I recommend you have a RAST test, it's a blood test. With a tube of blood they can tell what you are allergic to. Go the your doctor and ask for the RAST test.

I have to take prescription and over-the-counter medications to keep things in check. I have severe allergies and have an EpiPen with me at all times. Even when I use the EpiPen I still have to go to the ER right away. An EpiPen is not the whole answer to allergies, it keeps you from dying from a severe allergic reaction, but is not an allergy treatment in and of itself.

I hope you are okay and feel better soon, Get that RAST test.

My hubby has these kind of symptoms every once in a while. We never have been able to figure out what causes it. Your doctor might be able to send you to a specialist that might be able to figure out what the allergy is. The main reasons to go to the emergency room would be if you start having trouble breathing. Otherwise I would wait a little while and see if the benadryle starts working.

you may be having an allergic reaction to anything...clothes..new soap...animal...the benedryl should kick in in the next 10-15 minutes...as long as your throat isn't closing you aren't in any immediate danger...you can go to the ER and get and epi shot or you can wait it out and just go to your doctor first thing tomorrow...don't scratch..it'll only make it worse.

Your case sure sounds bad. Have you done anything differently to cause a reaction?
