Masks are a great way to clean and moisturize your face. You should always cleanse your face before applying a mask to get the most from the treatment. Masks can do a number of things, including but not limited to: exfoliating, cleaning deep down to remove skin impurities (unclogging pores), moisturizing and more. One of the oldest forms of facial masks used is mud or clay masks. These are great when used alone or with other ingredients. These especially leave your skin feeling soft.

After using a facial mask, always clean your face thoroughly and splash cool water on your face to help close your pores. Use a good moisturizer to seal in the moisture.

The clay absorbs oil from the skin as it dries. You can see the shapes of your pores appear in the mask as the drying progresses. A mask should be non-comeodogenic, but don't leave it on too long...you'll just dry out your skin, which would leave it suseptible to inflammation, and thereby cause problems. My husband has caused eczema flareups by using a mask improperly, without moisturizing later, in order to treat mild acne. Don't moisturize immediately, but a light lotion discourages too much drying.

Don't buy an expensive mask...its just mud. Queen Helene Mint Julep mask is cheap and great. It's green too, just like the classic image of women doing mud masks.

Try it, it will really keep your pores in good shape.

Yes, they are non-comedogenic, they tighten pores, reduces exes oil and help clear pimples.
It's a good treatment if you have any above problems, if so, apply ones or twice a week .

Clay Masks are amazing, they are made of all mud, and they are totally natural and good for you. Sometimes I actually put real mud on my face and let it harden, it makes my skin like baby's butt soft.
