don't just pray (no special prayer, by the way, just your heart), but also give your prayers a chance to be answered by going out...
check the internet for church picnics, sales and such in your area and then just go there (don't look too hard though, also have fun while you enjoy activities with nice people).
and don't just look for a spouse... the sweet little old lady that wants to chat might be your future spouse's grandma...
good luck!

It is fine to pray for a spouse, however, you should not leave it up to chance or your feelings to know which man is right for you. God has put A LOT of characteristics in the Bible for God-fearing men to possess. Although, God wants us to pray for His will, we should not sit around waiting for some supernatural experience when He has clearly revealed His will for our lives in the Bible.
God provided Isaac with a wife, but that was included in the Bible to demonstrate God's sovereignty, not as a revelation for what God wants us to do.
If you want to find a God-fearing man to spend your life with, then I would suggest that you study the Bible and discover what qualities God requires in a man and then do not settle for anything less in a man. But at the same time make sure that you possess the qualities that God requires in a woman. Because if you find the kind of man who is fearing God as he should, I can almost guarantee that he is looking for the kind of woman who is fearing God as she should.

Be careful that when you ask for a spouse you remember to ask for a real good one-one that will hold up with all the wear and tear in life. Ask for someone who believes in their maker. Ask for someone who will always be faithful to you and if they are tempted ask God to please change their mind right away. Ask for someone is strong and dependable as possible-so he can take care of you and your children like he should and not have to be made to. Ask for a good loving kind hearted man. Ask for healthy children if you want them and if you don't use protection(or if it happens anyway). Ask for a happy family life and do your best to be cheerful. Read and follow instructions-not these but those you believe in. Be ready and waiting with your arms open wide so he can walk right into them. If you are in love with someone already then ask God to put some fear into him where God is concerned. Ask for yourself just for what you want out of life. Remember that Eve was made after Adam so she was made to sooth the savage beast-but only take it so far if he does not tame easily move on to another-before the wedding. May God bless you and your new husband and family.

Oh, I'm glad that you want to pray for a spouse! My dad prayed for a spouse, and a week later, he met my mom! It was beautiful. He just prayed to God, asked for a good spouse... whatever else you want to say, you can add.
Good luck! : )

I pray that God isn't too picky.
If you pray the same thing, it's easy to find a husband.

for every person who prays for a spouse and finds one, there are a hundred who pray for a spouse and dont find one.
the problem is we only ever hear about the one who got his prayers "miraculously answered"

Here's how it works.
You have to PRAY for SPECIFICS.
And then WAIT until God shows them to you
And then REALIZE that GOD has shown them to you
And then LIKE what God has shown you.
I asked God to show me good marraige partners.
He did
THEY WERE ALL MARRIED WITH CHILDREN
Then I asked him to show me one who was AVAILABLE
He did
But she isn't ready to get married yet.
That's how it works!
OK
You gotta BE specific and then you'll ONLY get shown one by GOD if you are in the VACINITY and GOD then TAPS you and the REST is up to you.
Remember, GOD only has SO MUCH PATIENTS WITH YOU.
He SHOWS YOU EXACTLY WHAT yoU ASKED FOR
So
Get it right
Have their DEMENSIONS IN MIND
Have their LIKES AND DISLIKES in mind
Have their HAIR COLOR in mind
Have this in mind and that in mind
THEN you have to be out and about
IF GOD sees one NEAR YOU that FITS what you asked for GOD will tap you and make you turn your head.
THE REST is up to you
If you don't like it, don't expect GOD to keep working for you.
God doesn't like finicky people
