The third day seems to be the seventh when counting the days in John 1 and 2:1. If one day [is] as a thousand years, then the past two millenniums were perhaps the last days(plural), and perhaps it's now the last day(singular), the seventh day, the Sabbath having no mention of both evening and morning, eventually becoming an eternal day[light] having no darkness at all.

Time Past: bwd <-BC.
Last Days: fwd AD->.
Last Day: beyond 2000AD->.
It's now beyond 2000, "the third day".
The third day is also the seventh day.
The seventh has no evening & morning.
So it's the beginning of eternal day(light).
Which things are an "allegory": Galatians 4.
