Carmax works well, as does Abreva. Other things that I have heard work well are Campho-Phenique (it sorta numbs the area up and the drying agent in it zaps the cold sore away in a few days). Also and I know it will sound really odd, but Ambesol (sorry if the spelling is bad) the stuff for a sore tooth, works it numbs the area effected and dries out the cold sore in no time! Good luck, hope that helps!

cold sores can be symptoms not only from colds but you can get them from stress and to much sun as well. This might sound crazy but I promise you it works! Take some real lemon juice and some baking soda. Make it a paste and place on the sore. It will make the sore dry up faster. You can then moisturize it with Vaseline at night to keep lips moist. Good luck!

Buy some Abreva and put it on your sore. It will eventually start to disappear. Do not pick at it or try to squeeze it or anything like that because it will just make it worse and most likely leave you with a scar. In the meantime just use makeup to cover it up.

You should get "ABREVA". It works really fast and helps with the pain as well. It is the only product approved for reducing the recovery time of the cold sore. You can get it at any drug store. It is a bit expenive, about 17.00 and it is a very small tube. It is WORTH it!

i've used this stuff called abreva...it's sold at the drug stores for about 15 bucks for a tiny little tube...sounds expensive but it zaps them out better than anything else.

Go to you dentist. He can zap it with a laser that will IMMEDIATELY kill the cold sore. I had it done to myself and it worked right away.
