I was very upset as I was watching the news coverage about his passing, sobbing even. Everyone was so hopeful he would make it, and up until quite recently it appeared he would. In this world seemingly filled with negativity, it just would have been nice to see a happy ending for a beautiful creature that seemed to have such will. A great loss indeed.

Yes, very much so. He fought a long, hard battle, but for some reason I think there may have been other things that may have contributed to him being put down. As much as I hate to say it, maybe we're not getting the full story? I doubt his owners, vets and caretakers would've done such I think though since he such a beloved horse and followed closely by the media and all his fans.

Yes I do. He was a beautiful horse and obviously loved to run. I think the doctors made a valiant effort to save him and the owners made a good decision to put him down. He was having some severe and painful medical problems. Poor baby :-(

I do. I think it's so hard to believe because a few weeks ago it really looked like he was going to survive. Even though they kept saying he was still in serious condition when you saw video of him walking outside, etc. it just seemed like he would make it.

YES.

I understand from the "there's nothing else we can do" standpoint, but I am very upset.

Frankly, I wish horse racing would go out of style, but then, it makes people money so..............
