I mean we were interested in each other....not just as friends.

All I believe is that I respect his beliefs, but if he is a true Christian, maybe he should have the gutts tell me like a man and just be friends. I am not in love with him. Be mature about how he handles the issue.

You just found out how he would have reacted every time you did something counter to his beliefs, for your entire life.

Count yourself ahead.

Enjoy life.

For some people it is important that the other person in their life have the same religious beliefs as they do. For others, it doesn't matter. It would appear this person wants someone of like mind ... and that's okay, but he should have the backbone to tell you in a tactful way. It *is* immature and disrespectful towards you. He's a coward. Be glad you flushed that out of him early on.

If it is just a friendship then that is a sad thing for him to do but maybe he felt attracted to you and was looking at your relationship as becoming more in the future.

It is best for you and him to go separate ways. Faith is vital in the bringing up of children and in many decisions of life. If you were married I would say do your best to get along but since not I would say you are not compatible. You may both be drawn to each other for many reasons but some reasons are big enough to say it is best to keep looking for the one you can share this important area in life with.

I know no one likes to hear that the one they are attracted to is wrong for them and usually they only look for the answer that they want to hear but wisdom is proved right by her children.

Tell him that religion should not playa part in your friendship. If you were friends beforehand, it's because you shared a common interest and nothing was able to get in the way of it until church came up.

Does that mean that religion breaks friendships?

I don't think he's being immature or disrespectful towards you. He has his beliefs and wants a woman who shares those beliefs. He has a right to that and so do you.

Sounds like he finally saw the light and turned from the error of his ways. You can turn from sin as well and it will bless your life.

Why would you continue to want to get serious with someone who doesn't want to get serious with you?

Forget your hurt feelings, forget your ex-friend, move on.
