If your microwave didn't explode or catch on fire it should be fine to use, just check it. The food should be safe as long as the metal didn't melt or anything which I doubt.

Don't worry, just remember what not to be used for microwave and be careful next time. The food is ok to consume but the life-span of your microwave oven will be shorten.

Think of the same theory, you make hot drinks with glass or mug, but never on plastic cup. Somehow, there are still people do that.

No its fine! You can eat the food and use your microwave. Its only a hazard whilst the metal is IN THERE it may catch fire or explode your microwave. A good experiment - put a cd in the microwave shiny side up, watch the sparks, only do this for a few seconds tho! ! ! be careful. But your food is fine :)

If there is burnt stuff still in there or a burnt smell, clean it out. It shouldn't harm other foods. I've put foil in there too. I think everybody has at some point. It's a shame to throw out the food. If it was only for a few seconds it might be okay to eat. If it tastes funny then toss it.

No that's superb. some years in the past there grew to become right into a cooking coach and all of the guy ever did grew to become into recipes for cooking in a microwave. It did no longer final for obtrusive motives. for the period of the coach he in many cases used foil to create diverse cooking impacts. it may brown or it may deflect so something did no longer cook dinner as a lot, etc. He warned to no longer concern touching directly to the sparks. That grew to become into all innocuous. If that's no longer so obtrusive, lots of the recipes in contact cooking nutrition that a microwave can not cook dinner without it looking gross. He could gown up what amounted to a steamed entire rooster with the exterior = bare rooster, with a lot of paprika and pepper = YUCK basically, something that continually gets browned whilst cooked in a pan or oven might have cooked in spite of the undeniable fact that it grew to become into the comparable coloration after cooking because it grew to become into whilst uncooked = YUCK
