I am in the military but not sure if you claim your school taxes for my online classes. The military (not the GI bill) pays 100% tuition assistance up to a certain amount. Thank you!

Check with your base CO's office about it, but I think that it is considered income...but it can be deducted from your taxes, too. If it will be reported to the IRS, they will send you a 10-99 form for miscellaneous income. You can also check with your school's financial aid office about this if you don't want to go to your CO

i dont think so unless you paid it to the school...i know that the requirements for the credit are that you have had to pay yourself to the school...
